Step Counting
Soto de Luiña to Cavaedo(30km)
We left early despite having about 20km to walk. As we walked the path lead again to an overgrown field. We met some people along the way as we backtracked that told us to take the highway. As the rain came down, we headed their advice and avoided the steep, slick, overgrown paths of the camino. This, however added about 10km to our walk, making it our longest day yet. We were impressed with how far we have come, and with our bodies abilities. The 30km was significantly easier than the 27 we did our second day in. We walked about 5km per hour which is fast for us. (Gill wants me to add that due to kilometer markings on the highway she discovered that 1km is about 1,425 Gill steps.) That's a math major for you.
