100 miles

6-7-13 Well y'all we have walked 100 miles. That's right 100. Gill and I calculated last night, and that doesn't even count the miles we walked around in different cities. That 100 is only the path walking that we have done. Of course we are counting in kilometers, but we converted it here for your convenience. Plus 100 miles sounds a lot cooler. We went 20 something kilometers yesterday and 20 today. Today was a bit ridiculous. It was raining when we got in yesterday and we thought that was bad, but we only walked in it for about an hour. Today it rained for the first 4 hours of our walk. After raining all night that meant that our paths were full of mud. In one section a tractor had clearly had trouble getting stuck in the mud. Yeah. That was us too. At one point we ducked under an electric fence after tromping through a cow pasture. After all of that we stopped and bought groceries and lunch. The sun came out and we were off again. We walked for a while longer and got to walk about 2.5 kilometers along the beach. It was absolutely gorgeous. To hear the ocean coming in while walking was wonderful. It was a great time for prayer and reflection. Some of the reflection may or may not have been, oh gosh my feet hurt. After a very steep 3 kilometer climb we got to the albergue. We made ourselves an interesting dinner of noodles, cheese, potatoes, carrots, hotdogs and onions. Now we must rest for tomorrow's 28 kilometers(16 miles). We shall see how it goes. Pray for sunny skies.
